This freeware guide to the Macintosh, originally the subject of a limited release in March 1997, provides useful information regarding the use and innermost workings of the Mac, together with some details of its operating system. Although the document refers specifically to Mac OS 7.5.5 it still contains much that is relevant to a modern machine.
The amazing pace of change in the Macintosh world has precluded any update to this guide. However, the author hopes to release revised sections as separate documents during 1999.
